Georgia PA Day 2016 – SLAM the Capital

IMG_1374

YOU are invited to join us at the State Capitol next Tuesday, March 8 for two exciting reasons!

First, we’re repeating our very successful effort from last year entitled “Slam the Capitol.”  We’ll be meeting with representatives from our legislative districts to educate them not only on the PA profession here in our state, but also will be discussing our Schedule 2 legislation. From 8 – 10 am, you’re encouraged to join your peers (along with dozens of PA program students) in Room 125 of the Capitol as we visit with legislators – white coats encouraged. Then, around 9:45 am, our delegation will go upstairs to catch legislators on the way into the Chambers before they start floor sessions.  We’ll cap off the morning with the 2016 Georgia PA Day proclamation signing ceremony and group photo with the Governor on the rotunda staircase.

We’re also extremely excited about our upcoming spring conference in Atlanta, March 30 – April 2.  We’ll be welcoming participants from across the state and region for one of our best educational events ever(http://gapa.net/2014/12/11/gapa-spring-conference/).

Hope to see you soon!
