Gulf Update for GAPA Summer Conference Attendees

How will the GAPA conference be affected if oil reaches the beaches of Sandestin?
Currently there are no restricted beaches at or near Sandestin. However, the GAPA conference will be taking place on the bayside of the Resort, and conference activities should be unaffected by any potential beach restrictions.

What is there to do if the beach closes?
There are a number of resort amenities available to GAPA conference guests. As a GAPA guest, you will receive free tennis court time, free rentals on bicycles, kayaks, canoes, and boogie boards. Sandestin is offering a "Sandestin Summer Fun Guarantee", including 19 pools, Jolee Island, an expanded beach area in the Baytowne Marina, water sports, Jet Ski rentals, sailing and parasailing, YOLO stand up paddle boarding, and much more. Adults get free access to the Sandestin Fitness Center, and kids get to play Children´s Golf free with a paying adult. Sandestin features championship golf courses, world-class tennis courts, and much more.

The Village at Baytowne Wharf has plenty to do, including an enclosed playground for little kids to climb, swing, run and play. Bigger "kids" can try Northwest Florida´s only Zipline, then head over to the ropes course, Coconut Climb or Eurobungy for more fun.
